The Fog is a three piece band that plays sludge pop, really heavy pop music with lots of distorted guitars. Members Ian Teeple and Brendan Dulohery have known each other since high school, and have played together in some capacity since those days. They originally connected on things like Frank Zappa, Cibo Matto, The Buzzcocks and watching horror movies. They wanted the name of the band to be something spooky, looming and threatening so they named their band after the John Carpenter movie. The two met 17 year old Frazier Krohn and realized that he was really really good at drums, and soon he joined Ian and Brendan to round out the lineup of The Fog. During the recording of their debut album they ate a lot of carrots, nuts, fruits and hard boiled eggs, and they hope that people can hear that in the tracks. The Fog is constantly working on new songs, trying to play harder and go deeper. Their songs are all terror dreams or about friends or enemies. They believe in Kansas Mysticism, deep dark routed spookiness. They are freaks making freak music. Their debut album “Darkness USA” is available Digitally and on Limited Edition Cassette via High Dive Records.
