There are still kids who teach themselves to play guitar, recruit some friends, claim a space in their parents’ basement, and spend their teen years learning how to be a band. If they are lucky they find a unique sound, overcome the typical teenage squabbles, and find themselves playing in bars that wouldn’t let them in except for the fact they are playing on the bill.

Paddlefish is full of loopy and sometimes grinding waves of guitar living inside catchy pop songs. The Springfield, MO band has been playing shows across the midwest since 2015.

The band has self-released a 5 song cassette, “Lidsville”, in August 2015 and a 9 song LP, “Refrigerator”, in July 2017. They also appear on the compilation vinyl “12 x 12” by Wee Rock Records.
